I was so very sorry and sad to hear of the passing of Dear Ronnie Browning, we always visited Ronnie when we were in Carradale. My husband Ian Paterson was a great friend of Ronnie when they were at school in Carradale and myself and my family send our sincere condolences to Ronnies family.

My family and myself were so sad and sorry to hear of the passing of Neenie, over the many years we have visited Carradale, Neenie always welcomed us back to Carradale. My deceased Husband Ian Thomas Paterson grew up and went to school in Carradale and we have had many holidays enjoying the the beautiful scenery of the Kintyre and catching up with old friends and family in Carradale and we always looked forward to seeing Neenie he was always so helpful and kind. Carradale wont be the same without him.
We send our sincere condeolences to Nennie's family.
RIP Ian MacDougall. Ellie Paterson and family. |

I am trying to trace my sister who lived somewhere near Saddell.I wonder if anybody at the Carradale Goat remembers her. Her name is Elizabeth Minns and it was quite a time ago that I knew of her living there. I know that I am clutching at very wee wisps of straw but if anybody has any clue as to where she is or of her state of being I would be very grateful for any crumb of information. Thank you so muchChris M. |

Crikey - another 8 years have flown through my hands and still not made it back to Carradale.
I now have to bring back some ashes of my father Alex F.W. Turbine, who first visited Carradale back in the 1950's with the Scouts and then not so long after with his long gone mate Jimmy Hamilton.
A few beers to be had at the Crib, a walk out to the Point and even to cast a line from the harbour and to have a meal at the Carradale Hotel, great places, the best of people!
Hope to visit you soon! |

Its over 40 years since we left Ayrshire for S Africa, so many happy memories of Waterfoot, Dippen and Carradale. Will never find anywhere to match Carradale for a holiday destination no matter how hard we look. The Bakers, Mcleans, Macalpines and Semples were some of the names remembered for their friendship. Bobby Blue and Tibby some of the characters. Thank you for keeping the Goat running |

Dear Sir
I am working on a Film about the communities that fished for the Sharks, I would like to know more about the Factory the was there and anybody who remembers those days, I would also like to use some of those pictures shown. I am a small independent wildlife film maker.
Kind Regards Alan Mildren |

We are really pleased that Grip has a permanent home in Saddell Bay! We visit him every time we come to Carradale. Thanks to the generous person who bought him for us all. Hi Campbell/Liz,on hearing about this was welcomed by most folks, there was a few objections but you cannot please all.Just wonder how long it will stand before the elements take effect.Probably long after we are gone...lol.Cheers JD |

Sadly Ian Thomas Paterson born 4th June, 1940 aged 76 passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday 16th November. Ian used to live in Carradale and although moved to the South of England always loved the beauty of Argyll and the scenery and people of Carradale.
Ian will be very much missed by Ellie and his family. Sad to hear about Ian,our condolences from here in the Dale. |
