I visited Norman Lodge 1334 last night (Wed 20th Oct 2021), It was a very pleasant evening with a very well executed demonstration of the Third Degree, due to the proposed Candidate unable to attend due to illness.
Afterwards at the festive board, we had a very nice meal enjoyed by all, followed by some excellent toasts. There was a good atmosphere with a very good ambient tone of chatter during and after the meal, also a fairly good attendance (14 visitors from 8 different Lodges), given that we are still in very difficult times due to Covid 19 I thought the turnout out was very good.
I was a member of Norman Lodge, but reluctantly left due to my retirement from work, but mostly to join and get established in Jarrow Grange Lodge 8551 which is more local to my home, whilst still visiting Norman Lodge until the journey becomes too much.
So if any Brethren are in the vicinity of Durham city centre and have time to visit a Lodge, then you can be assured of a very warm welcome by the members of Norman Lodge.

IRS gets more relief payments out after delays - The IRS said that after initial problems, it is getting more of the second round of relief payments to taxpayers.

Greetings and congratulations to Norman Lodge brethren from Michael Crabtree residing in Hitchin in the province of Hertfordshire. I know many Norman lodge members and WBro Alan Bainbridge will probably be giving greetings from that ‘wonderful’ province of Northumberland. Being in lockdown I have not any opportunity of visiting in Hertfordshire which may also be wonderful! Being here will never diminish my allegiance to Durham. In a normal situation I would have enjoyed being amongst you to share in the celebration. I will be joining you in the virtual toast with something real in my glass.
My best wishes to all.
Sincerely & fraternally
Michael

Hello All at Norman Lodge,
Congratulations on the landmark date of 150 years.
I was initiated into the lodge in 1994 and have enjoyed the benefits of that membership ever since.
As I currently hold the position of Chaplain may the GAOTU bless each and all of us in our lives and enable us to meet in person in the very near future. It's a bit early but I extend Seasonal Greetings to all our members and friends. Stay safe until we can meet again.
