Connection to Urloffen:  Leible and Widemer Descendent
Comments:

I have grandparents from Urloffen who came to America in 1836 from Urloffen. They arrived in New York City and then travelled to Apple Creek, Perry County, MO, which is near the Mississippi. My grandfather was Vincenz Leibli and my grandmother was Rosana Widemer. It looks like there might be several on the site who share these surnames on the Urloffen site.

Name:  John Fallender
Connection to Urloffen:  Vallendor
Comments:

WE visited Urloffen as part of our family tree research.
Our history goes back to Josef Vallendor Born 1720 spouse Annae Maria RHODI. Our family then goes to his son Mathias spouse Elizabetha WIDEMER.
Mathias son Johann Vallender Born in 1792 spouse Katherina BLANK migrated to New York, now The Bronx with his family in 1846.
His son Anton Born 1829 spouse Mary Elizebeth SKOR was my Great Grandfather. He later changed his name from Vallendor to Fallender.
My family tree is FALLENDER_2014(1) and would appreciate any additional Vallendor information especially related to Josef.

None of the Amason sites are available. Have they been transferred to a different site or just taken down?

Name:  Bob Schiermann
Connection to Urloffen:  My mother's ancestors (Schermann) emmigrated to US from Urloffen in 1850s
Comments:

I am so happy to have found this website. Many thanks to those who have blazed the genealogy trail and posted what they've discovered.
I've been working through the Church record images that Brian Densmore uploaded and have so far found about a dozen Schermann ancestors over three generations, the earliest back to the late 1700s.
Kindest regards,
Bob Schiermann
